says two backpackers had to scare away a black bear in Franklin County. That is east of Fort Smith,

south of Fayetteville. I knew that. Backpackers had a closing gouter with a bear over the weekend

while camping in the Ozark Highlands Trail.

According to the Trail Association, the backpackers had to keep the bear away from the campsite the entire night.

That would suck.
