Alright, the current unemployment rate in the United States is 4.3%.

But that number might rise of Amazon has anything to do with it.

Amazon announced today that they are preparing to lay off 30,000 corporate employees.

And then there's Target. They also fired roughly 1,000 of their employees today. And like Amazon,

most of these layoffs, they're at the corporate level. So the in-store workers will not be

affected yet. Meanwhile, UPS, they're unimpressed, and they would like you to know that

just this year alone, in the first nine months, they fired 48,000 employees. Now, corporate layoffs,

of course, are not the only way to lose a job. A man of Massachusetts, he lost out on a job

when he referred to a group of ladies as ladies.

A man in England.

He was fired after bosses printed out 50 hours worth of his online search history.

Now, before you assume the worst, it was pretty benign crap.

It's just that absolutely none of it was work-related.

And then there's a woman in China.

She lost her job and her year-in bonus after her cat accidentally sent the resignation,

a resignation email that she wasn't so sure that she wanted to send.

She had typed it up.

She was really debating this.

And here's the irony.

She has nine cats.
