Today is Wednesday, October 26, 2022, and we begin with the cancellation of Kanye West

just about complete. The troubled rapper has made a series of shocking, disrespectful comments

about Jewish people in recent weeks, and one by one the brands that bear his name have

bailed out. Now, the biggest of them all, the one he said couldn't leave him has as well.

Adidas announced yesterday that it's pulling the plug on West's super popular, super

profitable, Yeezy Sneakers, effective immediately. It's no small move, according to Forbes,

not only did those sneakers account for 8% of all Adidas sales, but they also contributed

$1.5 billion to Kanye's bottom line. The companies that beat Adidas to a Kanye breakup,

Yap, JP Morgan, Fashion House, Balenciaga, and his talent agency, CAA.

The latest winter warning coming from health experts goes by the name Triple Demick. Cases

of COVID, flu, and arrestatory illness known as RSV are all expected to surge and collide

as temperatures drop and people spend more time indoors. An evolutionary biologist at

the University of Pennsylvania told the New York Times that with the three hitting at the

same time, quote, we are in uncharted territory. Vaccines won't prevent infection, but health

experts say they are still the best defense against the worst symptoms, and they are urging

everyone to get their shots as soon as possible.

The search for UFOs is getting real. NASA has announced that it's putting a scientific

team together to try to make sense of all the unexplained sightings. The study will

start this fall, be led by an astrophysicist, and take about nine months. Unlike past efforts,

these findings will reportedly be made public. If UFOs aren't your space jam, but shooting

stars are, you're in luck.
