And we begin with a fast-moving high-stakes deep space fist bump.

Yesterday, the unmanned spacecraft Osiris Rex reached out and touched

the asteroid Bennu as it hurtled through space at 63,000 miles an hour. The objective, to collect and carry a pristine sample of

space rock back to Earth. NASA maneuvered the craft right next to the

asteroid, then used an 11-foot robotic arm to grab a few pounds of

loose rubble and dirt. It's still early, but as of this recording, its mission

accomplished. Benu is a half mile wide and about 200 million miles away.

It took two years for Osiris to reach it.

Two years for NASA to find the perfect place for this touch and go mission

and it'll take almost three years to bring it space souvenirs back.

Why all the fuss?

The rock is believed to be 4.5 billion years old, a celestial time capsule that might hold the keys to the origins

of our solar system.

Tomorrow night's debate between President Trump and

challenger Joe Biden is shaping up to be a kinder gentler affair.

The Commission in charge of the event announced a big rule change late Tuesday.

Specifically, that the moderator will mute the mics at the

top of every segment to allow each candidate two minutes of uninterrupted talk time. After that, all

bets are off as the audio will stay open for nine minutes of

open discussion per subject. Both campaigns have agreed to the change. This will be the

last in-person face-off before the election.
