| 0:00.0 | From the Bob Barley studio in Orlando, Florida, you're listening to the Diz Unplugged. |
| 0:20.0 | Hello and welcome to the Diz Unplug roundtable discussion for October 21st, 2009. |
| 0:25.0 | From Orlando, Florida, I'm your host, Pete Werner, joined by my good friends, Walter Eccles, Julie Martin, Corey Martin, Kevin Close, and John Meijai. |
| 0:33.0 | And if you want me to list off who's in the peanut gallery today, there's no way that's going to happen because we've got like 30 people back here, including my mother, and Kathy Whirling, and Teresa Eccles, and Leah Zanola, and David Zanola, and my niece Robin, and little Jacob Zanola, and of course Ferris Martin. |
| 0:54.0 | And this week's show, Walter Eccles, along with our good friend Corinne Fry, will tell us about Forever Florida, a special attraction here in Central Florida that you're definitely going to want to know about. |
| 1:08.0 | And senior editor, Leah Zanola, sent some of our team around the Magic Kingdom to see how well-counter service restaurants handle special dietary requests. |
| 1:16.0 | All that plus, this week's news and roundtable rapid fire on this edition of the Diz Unplugged. |
| 1:22.0 | Well, welcome to the show, everybody. Like I said, we have a huge crowd in here today, just worked out that way that wasn't planned, but got a lot of people in the room today, which is great. |
| 1:34.0 | Just a couple things in housekeeping. First, Ferris' Buddy Walk, which was actually the Downs Syndrome Association of Central Florida's Buddy Walk. |
| 1:44.0 | It was just about Ferris. It was just about Ferris. It kind of felt that way for a while. |
| 1:50.0 | It was a great, great day this past Saturday, a huge turnout of people. |
| 1:54.0 | Over 8,000 people at your walk. |
| 1:56.0 | 8,000 people. I had no idea it was going to be that large too we got there, and it's like, oh my god, this thing is huge. |
| 2:02.0 | I didn't either. I didn't know what to expect. We had raised over $8,000 as part of our group, but overall, what was the total rating? |
| 2:10.0 | 179. $179,000 raised for the Downs Syndrome Association of Central Florida. I think that's magnificent. |
| 2:18.0 | It was a great turnout. It was a great day. The weather co-op, a beautiful day. |
| 2:22.0 | It was the first beautiful day we have had in months. |
| 2:26.0 | All of the big winners, as far as like first to third place for most walkers and most money raised, they were all children around Ferris' age and maybe a little older. |
| 2:34.0 | It seems to me like a lot of the newer families really get into it and participate. I think once your kids are teenager and stuff, people are kind of like, yeah, we've been there done that. |
| 2:44.0 | But I did notice that we're mostly younger children, not a whole lot older children. |
| 2:49.0 | So it was a lot of fun, even though I had to be there at 8.30 in the morning. |
| 2:55.0 | Did you walk? Yes I did. I absolutely did. |
