Everybody's got a lot of opinions today. It's a busy time and an ugly time for Florida State that falls on the road against Stanford in an embarrassing loss.

One of many, now nine in a row in the conference for Mike Norville.

And that's why you sit there somewhat flummoxed, as we all do, as to how it is.

He still has a job.

And you wonder aloud, as we also do, why.

And then begins the speculation about that very thing.

How, why, who, what are we going to do from here?

What is it we have to do from here?

When is that thing going to happen?

Who's a viable candidate?

These are the things we will kick around for the foreseeable future until something is done.

I'm sadden, first and foremost.

I'm frustrated, angry.

I think that we're on the cusp of some big changes in the athletic department.

I've said that I think there's a lot that has made this somewhat convoluted,

that it's not as simple as the athletic director witnesses the performance of the coach,

who's not living up to the standard and then says you have to go because there is a standard to which you are not performing and we will now fire you.

Obviously it is more, again, complicated than that because if it were just that,

it would have already happened.

Instead, there are layers to this.

And I think the fight within the organization and how to go about

these changes is what's at a foot, what's a foot right now. I think that's what we're looking at.
