best of the best of garage logic. Because this is one of my favorites. And as I was looking through

boxes, I stumbled across this one that I've been looking for for some time. It is from the late

summer early fall of 1996. And Joe was pretty, we both found out. I still get goosebumps

thinking about it because this was my favorite all-time interview in garage logic. And it was with

the one and only Captain Kangaroo. This official podcast does not have a number because it's

the best of, but we'll give you your intro. And then you'll hear Joe talking to the late great

Hi, Joe Sushere with UKSTPAM 1500. I'm with the man Captain Kangaroo Bob Keeshin. When I hear the

music, the music alone brings back a lot of memories. And I was telling you just before we went on the

air, I'm the kid, Captain. I'm your prime. I had to be your prime demo. Well, you still are the

kid, Joe. Look at you. Yeah, but I mean, when you went on the air in 1955, I would have been six

and I suppose I hung with you for another five years. So you look like you're 22, 24 now.

You still look like the Captain, too. What were you the Captain of? Nothing. Captain of the

Nothing. Well, we were the Captain of the Treasure House. When we were thinking of the name for

the program, which is kind of the last thing you do when putting it together. The costume was

already there. He had big pockets and- Or that come from. Well, we thought we would pull things out

of the pockets. Yeah. And so the pockets were just a device in the beginning. And similar to the

pouch in a kangaroo. Yeah. And he was showed a guide showed us around the Treasure House. And so we
