Today we're talking about supercharging credits for Model 3,

as well as the Performance Model 3 possibly being spotted in Fremont.

Tesla stock on Tuesday was up 1.47% to $355.75

as compared to the Nasdak down 0.01%.

Supercharger network update, we are still at 1,26 supercharging locations.

The big news yesterday is that we finally got some resolution on an open question for

model 3, and that is the question of whether or not Tesla would supply any free supercharging

credit for model 3 like they do with model S and model X.

As a refresher over the course of time Tesla has changed the supercharging costs in many different ways.

When the S first came out, supercharging was an add-on option so even to be able to utilize the

supercharging network you had to purchase a $2,000 add-on option to have that

enabled. However, once you purchased that option, you did not have to pay any variable cost for the energy

that you were using from supercharging stations.

Over time, Tesla ended up adjusting this strategy and they ended up eliminating that $2,000 add-on option and including supercharging

standard in all vehicles.

So that's just one of the many tweaks that we've seen over the years that Tesla has done

to improve the value on even standard configurations of their vehicles.

Pretty recently we did see another change though from Tesla on kind of their supercharging

business model and a supercharging hardware is still included in every car. You still have access to the network.
