I think the Vietnam War drove a stake right into the heart of America.

Unfortunately, we've never moved really far away from that.

And we never recovered.

That's a little bit from the Vietnam documentary that Ken Burns,

it's his latest work and I'm about halfway through it.

I think 18 hours long told, but man, it is freaking fantastic.

One of the reasons it's taking me all to get through it, I've watched parts twice.

Like when we had Mike Lyons, our military analyst on the other day, he said he's going to watch it twice.

It's pretty damn good history.

It's riveting, it's amazing.

It's hit, you know, I made a film on the Civil War that came out in 1990.

Is that long ago? Oh my gosh.

Yeah, 27 years and I don't think I've had anything except the war to match this.
