Welcome to the Preers of Rest podcast. I'm your host, Asherita, and today we are agreeing with God one last time in this season when he says that in Christ we are more than conquerors.

But for today, let's take a deep breath and quiet your heart as we become aware of God's

loving presence around us and within us.

Today's passage comes from Romans chapter 8, verse 37.

In all these things, we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

So let's begin by reciting God's goodness.

Oh precious King Jesus, we adore you.

We praise you.

We worship you.

You are the one who overcame the world through your sacrificial love.

Jesus, because of your death on the cross, you broke the power of him who holds the power of death.

You freed us who were slaves to sin and death and fear.

Jesus, we praise you that because of you, we are now conquerors.

Nothing can stand against us because you have redeemed us with your own blood. In you,

we have freedom. In you, we are chosen and holy and blameless. We are cared for and

loved. We are provided for. We are being transformed and renewed into your image. We are citizens of heaven. We have everything we need and more. So continue to praise God that he is making you a conqueror in Christ Jesus. Let's continue now by expressing our neediness.

Oh God, would you remind us that we are not defined by our feelings, by our emotions, by our track record, but rather we are

defined by you, by who you say we are.
