2020 and we begin with a Texas teen finding acceptance and fame by

celebrating what makes her different.

17 year old Macy Curran, whose extra long legs once made her the subject of bullying,

has not one but two Guinness World Records under her belt.

In the book's newest edition, she now holds the records for longest legs for a female

and for a teen. Measuring in at roughly 53 inches a piece, her legs make up about 60% of her 6 foot 10 inch frame.

Macy realized back in 2018 that her lengthy limbs were notable when she couldn't find a pair of leggings that fit.

They've even made her a star on Tik-Tok where she has more than 1.6 million followers.

Some of her most popular videos feature Macy towering over

her mom who stands pretty tall herself at 5 foot 7. Speaking of records,

California has just passed another milestone, though not one residents are celebrating.

The still burning August complex fire is now the largest fire in the state's history.

Not only that, it's earned a new and solemn distinction as a gigafire,

meaning that it's burned more than 1 million acres. Earlier this year, Australia recorded one of its own,

when two fires combined to burn more than

one and a half million acres. Scientists believe the rise in gigafires is

directly tied to climate change. At last report the August complex fire is just 58% contained.
