President Jimmy Carter. Mr Carter turns a full century old today and becomes the only president in US history to reach

that milestone. Jimmy Carter was president between 1977 and 1981. After his

presidency Mr Carter established the Carter Center to promote human rights, a long time

passion of his and received the Nobel Peace Prize for his work in 2002.

He also dedicated countless hours to the nonprofit organization

Habitat for Humanity. This week in his honor thousands of Habitat
