I spent the past year talking to some of the most decorated NBA players in the game. Their

ages span 6 decades, from Kevin Durant, who's 33 to 93-year-old Bob Coosie. And I've

tried to ask each of them, who is on your Mount Rushmore of NBA Greats? Almost everyone

includes the usual suspects. Magic, Jordan, LeBron.

But one of the answers surprised me. When I asked Julius Irving, Dr. J, he went old school

on me. I said his bell rustling, wilt Chamberlain,

and his Oscar Robertson, and his Jerry Weston, and his Elgin Bailer.

Wait, no MJ? Snubbing LeBron?

You can get to pick your team. And since it was, when I was 15 years old, those were the

guys, they would have made stay of the day and what they did and how they did it. It's

made an indelible impression on me, forever.
