Five years ago, I sat down to record my very first podcast episode and honestly, I had no idea

where it would lead.

I talked about Amazon like it was this golden ticket, just put in a little work and boom,

you're in business.

But looking back, it was maybe a little too optimistic.

Fast forward almost five years later and here's the truth.

It's harder now.

More competition, tougher margins and just throwing up a listing on Amazon won't cut it anymore.

But here's what I've learned.

If you're willing to play smart, adapt, and outwork the average seller, Amazon can still be

one of the best ways to build mostly passive income.

Mostly passive meaning you don't have to work 40 hours a week to earn $60,000 a year from this.

Still, to this day, we spend very little time on our own brand that does well over a million

dollars a year.

But this isn't a get rich quick thing.

I hate even saying that phrase, but let me be clear, it takes work and it's not all sunshine.

But again, if you're ready to put in the effort and not just

copy what everyone else is doing, you can and will make it. Let's go back to why I started this

in the first place. In 2020, I thought that having a full-time job is great, but what if that

stability isn't as stable as we think? I wanted a side hustle that was more than just extra

cash. I wanted something that would give was more than just extra cash. I wanted

something that would give me options, real independence. And Amazon at the time felt like the answer.
