Well, hello, welcome to the feminine podcast. This is Nancy Wilson and this is

podcast number one and I will tell you since this is the first time I'm doing this, what I'm planning to do.

I'm so glad you're joining me today.

I just thought I would take a few minutes and spend some time talking about basic Christian living for women.

So some days I will be addressing perhaps Grandma's and other days unmarried women.

And most of the time I hope to be addressing all Christian women

with just short little chats

about practical Christian living and how we can do what the Bible says and grow and be encouraged.

So that's my goal. I've got my coffee. I hope you have some let's just get started so I thought today

I would start with something really basic and something that I get a lot of

questions about from time to time. And that is, what is a gentle and quiet spirit anyway? I think a lot of women

get confused by the quiet part. They think they have to be verbally quiet, like they have to have a quiet personality,

or they have to be sort of shy and withdrawn.

And so, no, that isn't really what I think Peter is getting at here he's

talking about something else entirely so let's just look at the text in 1st Peter 3 and just walk through it.

And I hope it will be a blessing to you.

So Peter says, do not let your adornment be merely outward, arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel.

All right, let's just pause there. He says, do not let. Don't let. Don't allow yourself to be too focused on the outside.
