Therefore, when we could no longer endure it, we thought it good to be left in Athens alone and sent Timothy our brother and

minister of God and our fellow laborer in the gospel of Christ to establish you and encourage you

concerning your faith. So what could he not bear anymore? All the, yeah, all the problems that

kept keeping him from coming.

So finally he says, okay, fine, we've all been trying to, as a group of companions, get back to Thessalonica, things keep going wrong.

I'll stay in Athens by myself and I'll send St. Timothy to go see you on my behalf.

And so he sends him to establish them, to encourage them.

See, here's another place where it doesn't make sense.

Encourage you concerning the faith

i'm going to encourage you to

check the true box harder

right

like if teach you the faith would make sense if that's your view of faith.

Right.

But encourage you.
