Would you turn in your Bibles to the book of First Thessalonians, chapter 5, by God's grace.

We're going to finish this book tonight.

I said by God's grace.

And we'll see how far we get.

Chapter 5.

Supposing that we do finish this book tonight, our next study for next week will be the book of Esther in the Old Testament.

Ten short chapters. You may want to get a running start on those chapters,

and we'll be doing that next week. But tonight we're in chapter five of this incredible book

of First Thessalonians. We should all be concerned about the future

because we're going to be spending the rest of our lives there.

And what does the future have?

Well, Jesus Christ is coming back.

And that is a theme throughout this little epistle of First Thessalonians.

And it is one of the mega themes of the scripture that Jesus is coming to the earth.

He came once and he's coming back again. The first time he had a different

agenda than the one he's going to have at his second coming. So we're in First Hussolonian

Chapter 5 that delivers us or to us. The rest of the story we started last week talking at the end of chapter four

about the great gathering together of the saints in the air what we call the rapture of the church

and then the then the chapter ended.
