As you're getting settled, Bible study time, we always ask that you maintain your commitment to stay through the end.

I know I can get dry and dusty and boring, but we just don't want

the distraction to be on anyone or anything. We want to give the full attention to the Word of God

while we are together. We will be here for the almost the next hour. So if that is too big of a

commitment for you, okay, you can make that decision as we bow in a word of prayer in just a moment.

We are in the book, the New Testament book of First Thessalonians, Paul's letter to the Thessalonian

Church, the very first one.

So get your Bibles ready.

I hope you actually have a real Bible.

I've made the case before that the reason I think an analog Bible is better than a digital Bible is because that's all this is.

I cannot get a phone call on it.

I cannot get an email on it.

I cannot get a text message on it.

I can't get any news flash from anything.

All it is is the Word of God.

And I don't want to be distracted with anything else. No judgment, no shade. If you got a fake Bible, doesn't mean you're a fake Christian,

but I just, I think in addition to that, make an investment and get a real Bible.

And if you want hints afterwards, I can tell you all the different kinds of Bibles to get.

Some are good, some aren't so good, some are cheap and fall apart in a month.
