So we explain the Bible first by verse.

Every chapter, every book, this is expound.

You brought a Bible with you. Am I right? Okay, you got it? Good. I like when you hold it up. That's just so cool. We like get pictures of these things when we do that. There's just a good sight to have to see. So turn in your Bibles to the book of 1st Thessalonians chapter 1. Now before we begin tonight, I'm going to pray,

and I always like to give a warning. I don't always give a warning, but I like to remember,

and I just remember it, so I give you people a warning. We are going to enter into a Bible study

for the next 55 minutes,

almost an hour. I know that's groundbreaking for some people. I know that we all live in a

country, a world that is a very shortened attention span or we're used to quick reels. We're

not used to really engaging the mind for any length of time without being

highly distracted. I understand that. I also know you're a different breed of people and you don't

mind doing what we do. But perhaps not everybody knows this and they're going, really, you're going to

have a Bible study for like an hour

so i want to get people and out because the worst thing you could do is decide in the middle of the

study i'm tapping out then you get up and all of our eyes look at you and you've just distracted

people from the word of god and we will look at you because we can't help it. And I'm sure you don't

want to be that distraction. So as we bow our heads in prayer, if you think, I got to tap out,

that's fine. Just make that decision in advance. We'd appreciate that. And then you could move to

the very back row so you can get up and down. And then I'll be

the only one who notices you. Nobody else will see you. I may thank bad thoughts, but who cares?

Nobody will see those thoughts. So we'll pray and then we'll start, shall we?

Lord, I thank good thoughts. And I thank you for hungry hearts and people who have gathered to hear your word.
