their stories have very different endings. In his jealous rage, Saul is trying to

kill David at every opportunity.

David is fleeing for his life and ends up in Moab.

As we pick up the story in 1st Samuel 22,

God sends a prophet to give David instructions on what he is to do.

Now, David is there in this stronghold and his family is tucked away safely in Moab, the
