The railroad played a major role in the growth of the nation.

It unified a sprawling country and spurred the Industrial Revolution. Over a 20 year period, ranchers followed cattle routes like the famous Chislem Trail, north to shipping points in Missouri and Kansas, until the railroads were extended into the Texas Range Country.

By 1930, railroads had reached their peak with almost

430,000 miles of track. They called him the railroad killer.

The railroad railroad killer.

The railroad serial killer.

The railway serial killer.

And for more than a decade, he crisscrossed the US by a freight train.

I believe everybody is scared, you know, especially if they live next to the railroad.

Clearly this was somebody that was riding the rails.

Jumping off at random and bludgining his victims to death with whatever blunt object he could find.

But the railroads are rescind as his world,

and he maintains the advantage.

He claimed he was half man, half angel,

and he was riding the world of sinners.

The young man found brutally bludgeon to death along a railway track.

Found dead by the train track. For a while back in 1999, he even nudged Osama bin Laden

off the FBI's most wanted list.

It looked like somebody had just been brutally beaten about the head.

There were a lot of horrendous crimes committed by the railroad killer, and we're going
