here's another one of those.

So, because this is true,

therefore, since Christ suffered for us in the flesh,

arm yourselves also with the same mind. For he who has suffered in the flesh has ceased from sin

that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh for the lust of men but for the will of

God okay so this is he saint peter is saying essentially the same thing that St. Paul says, what he says,

consider yourselves dead to sin, but alive to Christ. Right. Remember the Noah comparison. Right. All that's dead.

St. Paul says, world has been crucified to me, right? And I to the world.

Right. So there's been this now, this separation. And so the rest of the time that you now live in the flesh, right, in this world, in the body, right? We need to live no longer in the less of men, human beings, but for the will of God,

right, that we've ceased from sin.

And sin's done.

It's dead.

Verse three, for we have spent enough of our past lifetime in doing the will of the Gentiles.

Another place where Gentiles is not a good translation.

Remember, it's the word that means nations, right?

The will of the nations, the things that the nations do.
