Devon Givens here, PHLY Sports, PHYX, is the Vegas Summer League with Hunter Salas, two-way player for the Philadelphia 76s. How things are so far, man? Everything's been great so far. Yeah. A great experience for sure. How's the ankle? So you got the ice on there and it missed that first game. So how things going? It's getting a lot better. You know, it took a lot of treatment and a lot of work on that. but it's definitely getting nervous.

Yeah, so after that first game that you played, you struggled a little bit with your house back in the second game. What are you looking forward to accomplish here in Las Vegas? I just say like getting my group back. I took some time away just with my injury. I think going forward, the biggest thing is just me getting back comfortable out there and just

getting my field back. So that's the biggest thing for doing just playing with confidence.

So what's that field that they want you to do? What are you trying to accomplish that the team

wants you to do and what you want to establish out here? Yeah, just making the right place,

you know, getting downhill, either creating myself or others. But just doing the little the little things that impact one in, and that's the biggest thing. And with the shot, we see you a lot of pre-dress stuff. I saw you working on the mid-range a lot, and we know three-pointing is mid-range into the basket, but that's something that seemed like you really mastered and saw some of that so far. How much of that are you trying to also just incorporate with, as you said, get yourself a shot, but also getting your teammates involved? Yeah, I think that's a big part of my game, just being able to score at three levels. So that's definitely something I would like to showcase for sure. But definitely, yeah, just getting downhill, either for myself or for others, but I think just making the right play is a big emphasis for me. Well, we started getting downhill early when you banged on that one guy in Memphis game. Had to feel good, though. Yeah, definitely, definitely. Got my legs back under me a little bit, good to kind of get up there. Yeah, so this showcase, we know this is the big one, nothing against Salt Lake City, but this is the big one where everybody tries to put on the show and also looking to do that, of course, we're getting your groove back. How much on the ball, though, especially with VJ out, do you foresee itself trying to run a little bit of point, also playing off ball? How much you see itself doing that here, at least what the coaches are talking.

Yeah, I think I'll be able to play a little bit of both. Definitely show some, me being on ball a little bit, and then definitely a little bit of offball. I think me being versatile, I can, you know, do both of those at a high level. So definitely looking forward to showcase that. How you feel about the chemistry with your teammates, just getting back into it? Yeah, you know, just a new team, new scenery. So, you know, building that for sure so far. Like, I love these guys, so I'm looking forward to going to work. How much, how many of these guys are have you already known just over the years from, you know, AAU, high school, college? Really like all of them. All of us. You know, just growing up, you see a lot of these guys on A&E circuit and stuff like that. So definitely a lot of them to see it. Yeah, so what was it about Philadelphia? Last one. What was it about Philadelphia? You had an opportunity to choose on your two-way. What was it about Philadelphia specifically that you saw? Just their interest in me.

And I felt like he was a mutual interest.

You know, he's a great coach.

You know, a lot of great coaches on the coaches that.

If I don't have, they're going to have some really good teammates.

So I think those were the biggest things for sure. But then again, just, you know, Philadelphia has great fans.

And it's just something that I look forward to growing my career.

Yeah, and I lie, final one, because Justin Edwards and Ricky Council, they've had success

in the two ways in their standard contract.

So something that, again, undrafted players much.

And that was a big thing, too, just looking at a situation,

seeing how other guys did it before me.

Definitely thought that.
