Yesterday we talked about the three classes of worms.

Today, if you have verma composted in the past

or you're thinking about getting into it. It's a fantastic way to add

more fertility to your soil and just really make better use of some of the waste streams that you have,

those food scraps that you're dealing with or that yard waste,

you're probably going to run into a particular mistake.

And it's kind of the macro mistake that you're going to make

that will cause almost all the other mistakes.

So what I figured I'd do is have Steve jump in

and talk about that for a second.

Okay, cool.

So the most common verma composting mistake

that people are gonna make is they're gonna be impatient

and they're gonna overfeed their bin.

So a worm bin is really kind of interesting.

If you think of it like a fire, you don't just take a log and light a match to it.

There has to be other ingredients that are involved and the one ingredient that people

forget about are microbes. You want the bacteria and the fungi to begin decomposing your food waste really before you can expect the worms to start
