Jeremy Corbyn was a stalwart of the

near-dormant radical left wing of the Labour Party, a wing that had been sidelined since Michael

Foote's crushing defeat by Margaret Thatcher in 1983. The same year, Corbyn was elected into Parliament

for the very first time. On December 12th, 2019, history repeated itself as the Labour Party,

now firmly refashioned in Jeremy Corbyn's image, after denying Theresa May a majority in 2017,

was humiliated by Boris Johnson's Conservative Party, who had returned to Parliament with a 79-seat

majority. Speaking shortly after he was returned to Parliament
