All right, let's get started. First Kings, chapters 9 and 10. We're going to do two chapters again tonight.

They are not as long and they are also not as detailed as chapters seven and eight were.

we pray in Jesus' name. Amen. All right, let's just jump in. Verse one, First Kings chapter 9.

Solomon has just finished this celebration and dedication of the newly

completed temple. And we read verse 1 and it came to pass when Solomon had finished building

the house of the Lord and the king's house and all Solomon's desire which he wanted to do

that the Lord appeared to Solomon the second time as he had appeared to him at Gibbon.

And the Lord said to him, verse three, I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before me. I have consecrated this house which

you have built to put my name there forever and my eyes and my heart will be there perpetually.

Now verse 4, if you walk before me as your father David walked in integrity of heart and in uprightness
