about what book we're going to go into next. Just kidding. Second Kings, thus say it the Lord.

So, but here's a thing. We're not going to complete the chapter tonight for a couple of reasons, one of which

is it is a rather long chapter.

And secondly, it is packed full of many applicable truths and I don't want to rush through it and miss anything that the Lord might

have for us in it. So we're going to take our time. We'll see how far we get through it tonight.

But Lord willing, we'll finish First Kings next Thursday and then we'll jump right into

Second Kings. So before we do, why don't we pray and we'll jump right into Second Kings.

Loving Heavenly Father, thank you so much for your word and thank you for this amazing study through the Old Testament that we have on Thursday

nights. I know it's become for many of us a highlight of the week and for that Lord, we are so very

grateful. Lord, would you tonight remove any tiredness and give us instead of tiredness, just an alertness so that we can

give you our undivided attention. Lord, we truly desire that you'll speak into our lives in

and through your word. So bless our time together tonight, Lord, that we have in your

went down to visit the king of Israel, speaking of course of Aham. And verse 3, the king of Israel said to his

servants, do you know that Ramoth in Gilead is ours? But we hesitate to take it out of the hand of the king of Syria.

And it's interesting to note that this was actually one of the cities, this Ramoth Gilead, that Ben Haddad, remember,
