In his first epistle, the Apostle John tells us God is holy and dwells in light, and that man is not holy and dwells in darkness—with a very steep and deep canyon between us and God. 0:39.1	Well, Dr. J. Vernon McGee is going to tell us about his favorite sunrise in Monument Valley, Arizona, as we learn how to step into the light of God's Word. We're still early in our study of 1st John. And in a special introduction, Dr. McGee ties what we're learning to this time with our last study in the Old Testament book of Jonah. And it's down here that we're to live this life. Now, John is going to talk to us about living that life, the resurrected life of Christ. And by the way, I hear
1:31.3	very little emphasis upon that today. It's all a psychological approach to the Christian life.
1:39.8	And though psychology may illustrate it, but that's the only place in the world it can be brought in.
1:46.5	We do not live according to some psychological principle.
1:50.9	We are to live according to some Bible principle, and that Bible principle is very, very important.
2:00.8	So now, in this little book, we're going to see that that resurrected life that comes to
2:08.7	us through what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for us, and today, you and I have to do with

2:17.2	Paul says, though we knew him after the flesh, we know him no longer after the flesh.
