0:40.0	I'm Dr Scott, I'm a forensic psychologist working in Southern California. I'm here with my amazing best friend and co-host.
0:49.0	Dr Shiloh and I am also a licensed psychologist in the state of California and a forensic psychologist.
0:56.0	So we're here because we want to provide some education on the subject of forensic psychology. In the
1:04.4	podcast world there's a lot of great podcasts about different kinds of
1:08.5	psychology, different areas, different areas of study and research, but there's virtually nothing on the field of forensic
1:16.2	psychology by people who are actually working in the field.
1:20.9	This is what we hope to bring to you.
1:22.3	We hope to bring some fun as well as maybe some education.
1:26.0	Hopefully you'll enjoy this the way we enjoy the exploration of the work that we're very passionate about.
1:33.6	I'm a licensed MFT. I'm also a licensed psychologist.
1:37.4	My emphasis in my doctoral studies was family forensics.
1:42.7	So I have a background of training
1:45.1	and being an expert witness.
1:46.8	I work in the fields of family law,
1:49.3	family and child assessment, child custody evaluation,
1:52.2	mediation, conflict resolution, and I'm also
1:56.0	trained in crisis negotiation. Shiloh.
2:01.2	So I hold a master's and a doctor in forensic psychology and those are both from
2:06.5	a client international university here in Los Angeles and as far as my expertise
2:11.8	in working with forensic clients, I've really focused on working with offenders.
2:19.0	And so I have worked with them before they go to prison.
