Welcome to Planet Sleep. I'm your host, Josh. And ever since I was a young boy, I've

been fascinated by the natural world. There's always been something so relaxing to me about

just sitting in silence and listening to the sound of the living world all around me.

Whether that was listening to the rain falling outside, the birds chirping in the forest, or

the waves crashing against the sea shore. Nothing has brought me more peace, and serenity in life,

and quietly listening to Mother Earth. I've always been fascinated by the different landscapes

this planet has to offer, as well as the different kinds of life that exist in each one. Since I was

a kid, I've always loved animals, and I grew up reading zoo books as I laid in bed at night.

There was just something about reading about the ecosystems, and all the life they contain

that lulled me to sleep, in such a way that nothing else could. The zoo books coupled with my

nature sounds CDs, always guaranteed a restful night of sleep. As I got older, I turned to the

planet Earth TV show, and the Cosmos series, to help me fall asleep. The combination of the

natural sounds and the soothing voices of the narrators gave me the same effect I experienced as a child.

That's when I realized that I wanted to create a podcast that will hopefully provide you

with the same comfort and relaxation that these shows afforded me.

My goal with planet sleep is to provide you with an immersive and relaxing experience

that transports you to all corners of the globe, including places far beyond this planet.

To enhance this experience for you, I'll use soothing natural sounds and music from the locations

we visit, in hopes that when you close your eyes, you feel as though you are actually there.

Whether you have trouble falling asleep, or you just need to escape from reality, even for just a few

minutes. My hope is that planet sleep will give you the relief or sleep you're looking for.

But if you manage to stay awake till the end, you might even learn a few things along the way.
