fundamentalism, American history, and how this all ties together. If you're listening to this

episode, you probably found me on social media within the past couple of weeks when topics I

didn't know people wanted to hear really took off. On today's episode, I really wrestled with

where to start this

conversation. And I'm going to start with an introduction of myself, my background, because I think

it's important to know where you're getting your information. And then we're going to talk about

in the midst of all the chaos that has been going on in the last 10 days, what can we do right now

for ourselves and for our communities?

And then moving forward, I'm going to discuss current events, relevant American history,

as well as how fundamentalism in the Christian movement, specifically the alt-right Christian

movement, ties into all this.

The So before I jump in today, I'm going to talk about kind of how I plan to structure the podcast, as well as some disclaimers, who this is for. I plan to keep

these about 30 to 45 minutes long. I would love it if you use this time to go for a walk,

jump on the treadmill, get on a bike, take an hour to just focus on yourself, decompress midweek.

anything or to get you to think a certain way. I'm hoping that I can present information, present
