Summary

Adopted at birth Emily O'Neil's story is one of feeling like an outsider, lonely and disconnected for much of her childhood. Whilst there were happy times, the need to belong and to be seen and heard were strong. Emily's voice is full of wisdom now as she recounts her childhood story including, sadly, a deep desire to end her own life at the age of just 13.

Emily has a fabulous podcast called Dogs Are The Best Friends.  Here is the link https://dogsarethebestfriends.com/podcast/  You can connect with Emily at https://www.instagram.com/dogsarethebestfriendscom

this journey of sharing stories. You know most of us can spend our entire lives not sharing our childhood story, our unique story of how our tiny little

self might have struggled, suffered, felt lonely, disconnected, different, and because most of us keep our stories

hidden, we can often feel even more alone.

our kids and teens can often be desperately lonely in their own homes. By understanding and being more aware of what happened to us,
