So the city of Corinth is actually one of the most ancient and one of the most important in Greek history,

but that city is technically not the city that St. Paul visited and to which this epistle was written.

So the Corinth at its location is not on the location.

Well, yeah, well, no, it's in the same location, but I'll get into how that happened.

So, Corinth was one of the earliest city states in Greece.

If you look at a map of Greece, it sort of is at the juncture between sort of mainland

Greece and the Peloponnese.

And so this made it a central location such that when there were threats to Greece as a whole,

we're used to thinking of Greece as Greece.
