1 Corinthians 2. You may remember that we left Paul arguing that the people of Corinth have been dividing into groups. I'm a follower of Paul.

He continues on a little bit with his argument for himself in terms of how he came to them,

and then he gets into talking about God's wisdom.

wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was

trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words,

but with the demonstration of the spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on human

wisdom, but on God's power. As Paul's saying that when he came, he wasn't the most eloquent
