I have to say, wow, 700 episodes. I didn't think I would get here, but next week will be 701. We'll just keep pressing on.

1 Corinthians 2. You may remember that we left Paul arguing that the people of Corinth have been dividing into groups. I'm a follower of Paul.

I'm a follower of Apollus.

I'm a follower of Peter,

and that that is not what God intended.

He continues on a little bit with his argument for himself in terms of how he came to them,

and then he gets into talking about God's wisdom.

And you recall last week, he said, I've chosen the weak to shame the strong.

I've chosen the lowly things and the despise things to nullify the things that are.

So we're going to get into God's wisdom this week again.

1 Corinthians 2.

And so it was with me, brothers and sisters.

When I came to you, I did not come with eloquence or human

wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was

with you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I came to you in weakness with great fear and

trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words,

but with the demonstration of the spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on human

wisdom, but on God's power. As Paul's saying that when he came, he wasn't the most eloquent
