Welcome to day 46.

We are in first Corinthians and today's verse is one of the most famous wedding

scripture passages, the love chapter from first Corinthians chapter 13.

This was originally one of the two letters that the Apostle Paul wrote to the church at Corinth,

which was a church that was very pagan, new church, new Christian church was taken route there

and Paul was writing to them in a very pagan pluralistic culture of ancient Greece.

And he wrote about what love really is and what love really looks like.

And it's some of the most beautiful words in scripture.

So first Corinthians 13 verse four and five says, love is patient, love is kind.

Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude.

It does not demand its own way.

It is not irritable and it keeps no record of being wronged.

And not only is that a great description of love, I think it's a beautiful recipe for marriage.

Love is patient in kind, so be patient in kind with each other.
