long list of irrelevant laws, but I learned that every one of them had a purpose for Israel,

and it leads us into why we need a savior, Jesus. Well, in this season, Chronicles is nothing

like Leviticus in content, but they are alike in that not a lot of people have read them.

And like Leviticus, Chronicles has a special purpose and message that play a role in the bigger

story. You see, at the time the author is writing, Israel has come to a very difficult place.

After two books about kings, we are back to zero. Israel has no king. What has become of all of God's

promises? Where is David's successor? Who is going to save them? It looks bad. But God has a

plan and he has from the beginning. And the author of Chronicles knows it. He just has to convince the people of it. And that is his
