Hello and welcome to the two Robbie's Football Show here on NBC Sports Radio and NBC Sports Radio.com and through the NBC Sports Radio app.

Wow. We often talk about this league, Rob, and how unpredictable it is. And some of the results today, Chelsea losing at home, Liverpool losing at home. I mean, really, where do we start?

0:37.2

Let's get to

0:37.8

it's the best league in the world and we want opinions we want to hear from the fans out

0:41.4

there 855 3 2 323 4 6 double 2 callers or tweeters at 2 robbie's FS but let's let's get

defeats today.

0:54.4

I'm talking about Chelsea and I'm talking about Liverpool.

0:57.3

Let's start with Chelsea, the defending champions.

0:59.8

Just what is going on at this football club after four weeks of the season, Rob?

1:04.0

Well, I think what we've seen so far is something that's shocking to me.

1:08.4

And the fact that we're here, or I'm going to talk about how defensively awful Chelsea has been, is shocking to me because of what Marino is all about, what we saw from this Chelsea team last season, particularly in the second half of the season when they needed to be defensively sound, they were absolutely outstanding. I don't know what's happened in the summer. I know there's talk that he didn't bring the players in. I think he gave him an extra week's rest. Whether it's the kind of the fact

1:32.6

that they're champion players now and that little bit of motivational edge has gone a little bit.

1:36.9

It's just amazing to me, particularly this game, press conference of Marino two days ago,

1:41.8

talking about we've worked all week on team defending.

1:44.9

I'm not going to pull out players defensively individually. It's about team defending. That's what I do. That's what we've done all week. And this happens. And it's interesting individuals, Rob, because John Terry has copped a bit of stick since the start of the season and people are saying, well, should Terry get dropped? Well, Terry didn't play today.

2:01.1

It was K.L.

2:02.0

and Zuma.

2:02.7

And that didn't look particularly good.

2:04.1

And Josie Marino kind of alluded in his press in his presser after the game that these individuals not playing well we were talking about it and I'm thinking okay let me tell you who hasn't started the season at all who is still on on holiday, Seth Fabagas. And I'm going to throw another thing out there, Robbie Musto. He's six pounds overweight. Seth Fabagas is six pounds heavier than when he finished last season. He's probably enjoyed his summer too much. He doesn't look at the game. He doesn't look nowhere near the player who had 18 assists last season. I'll show you, Seth Fabberg. Ask who you're going to raise me with. Ivanovich. He's four pounds overweight. I think Ivanovich is somebody that's been very, very disappointing. And I've got to be honest, he's not one of my favorite players because he's a big drama queen and he's a good defender. He had an outstanding season last year. Vice captain of the football. I still don't like the way sometimes he conducts himself. But anyway, that's just a personal thing on me. But how bad has he been? How many times he been beaten by fallbacks? How much of the time does he look not as interested, not as determined the defender with his hands behind his back? That's up. Wines me right up. I can't have it. Okay, I'm going to raise your Ivanovich with a Azard. Because Edin Azad hasn't started the season really, Rob. And I know. He hasn't, he hasn't got any weight on, so I'll give him that. But he ain't started the way that we know, the way that he can get on the ball and make things happen and make a team tick. And Chelsea, you've had enough possession of the ball, but he's not looked the same player. Now, does that come down to hunger and desire? I don't know, because the way that Jose de Marino runs his teams, he has all over Europe that's never been a problem
