Just go back to the podcast feed and download episodes 1 and 2, the first two episodes in the wedding party story.

These episodes are going to cover the exact same story, but this version is going to give you some extra tips, tricks kind of behind the scenes look at what Dungeons and Dragons actually is.

This is Rules of the House Party, our Tool Tips Guide to D&D.

You're here because we recommended it to you, you found it in iTunes or you just love a good fantasy story, but you have no idea how Dungeons and Dragons works, which is perfect because we're here to help.

First things first, this is a story.

You're gonna hear us act, improv, make jokes,

and collectively move a plot along

that we're sure you can follow and enjoy and laugh at.

But in order to give that story some structure, we're following the rules of

Dungeons and Dragons. D&D is an RPG, a role-playing game. We're generating this tale,

using only our imagination, some paper and some dice, and D&D puts constraints on our world.

So no one's telling me what I can and can't do, but if my character wants to scale a wall, steal a wallet, punch a bad guy, I'm going to use

dice to figure out if my character actually succeeds at what she wants to accomplish.

So you're going to hear my voice a lot.

I am the dungeon master or the DM.

I've constructed a story framework, so plot points for my players to experience.
