It's my pleasure to induce Dr. Christopher Booth, who's a professor of medicine at Queens University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.

Dr. Booth did his undergraduate in Kingston, Ontario. He went on to do his medical training in University of Toronto and Princess Margaret.

He went back to Kingston, did some work in the clinical trials group and in health services research.

And I guess I'd say, I think I read a paper by Chris Booth in circa 2012.

I was a fellow in medical oncology and I had just learned what progression-free

survival was. I started to think to myself, is this endpoint in and of itself, you know,

something that matters or is it kind of like a stand-in, a certain end point? And that year,

I think you had published in the JCL, progression-free survival, meaningful

or simply measurable. And I think in the last six years, six, seven years, every time I think about a topic,

be it global health, cost of drugs, the value they provide, how we should use real-world evidence,

and what are the things we're chasing

in oncology and what really matters. I find that Christopher Booth has done some of the

most important and influential work in the topic. But it's my pleasure to invite Dr.

Booth out here to give a lecture on these topics. Let's welcome Dr. Booth for this talk. But first, a plug.
