Summary

Two kings called Jehoram ruled in Israel and Judah at the same time. Many scholars think they were the same person. Their reigns were extinguished by the coup of Jehu, agent of God against the evil house of Omri. One of the few strong women in the Bible, Ahab's widow Jezebel, also meets her end. Athaliah becomes the only woman to rule Judah. Elisha works miracles.

1:19.6	One of the most intriguing mysteries from the two kingdoms period is that of King Jehoram, Yeharam, of Judah, and King Jehoram of Israel.
1:31.9	Each is also known as Joram, Yaram.
1:35.7	They were almost exact contemporaries.
1:38.9	According to the Bible, Jehoram of Israel was preceded by a short-lived king called Ahaziah,
1:46.5	and Jehoram of Judah was succeeded by a short-lived king called Ahaziah.

1:56.4	Let's start with Jehoram of Judah, who ascended the throne in 852 BC during the brief reign of Ahaziah of Israel.
2:06.8	In a typical diplomatic union, he was married to Ahaziah's sister, Athaliah, Ataliyah, daughter of the wicked Ahab and Jezebel.
2:18.1	This is the one time that the kings of Judah and Israel would mix their blood.
2:24.3	There is some debate as to Athaliah's relation to the House of Omri.
2:29.6	The Bible clearly says that she was a Haziah's sister, therefore Ahab's daughter, and so Omri's
