Judges chapter 6, verse 15.

And he said to him, please, Lord, how can I save Israel?

Behold, my clan is the weakest in Manasseh.

And I am the least in my father's house.

What a great verse from Gideon as God is calling Gideon to lead his people into battle

and to deliver them from the hands of the Midianites.

And when God calls Gideon, he says, how can I do this? My clan, and he starts to list all the

reasons why he's not qualified. My clan's the weakest in Manassah. And as if that wasn't enough,

I'm the least in my father's house. Why are you calling me to do this? This is the beauty of God's

grace that we see all over the Bible. God chooses the unlikeliest of people. One, for his family.

Like, you think about the disciples.

Like, these men were not the most well-educated men.

They were not the smartest.

They were not the most influential.

They were not the wealthiest.

Many, many different reasons why you would not choose this group of men.

And yet Jesus called them by name, drew them to himself,

and used this small group of unlikely, uneducated.

It was just in Acts chapter 4, unschooled, ordinary men,

to literally turn the world upside down to alter the course of

human history through this small group.
