Good afternoon fellow investors and welcome back to Invest Talk.

This is our Wednesday January 4, 2023 edition and New Year's Eve has come and gone and

we started the new trading year and one thing is almost certain for this year that it's

not going to be the same as last year.

Too many people do that right, they extrapolate the recent past and they think that's going

to be like the recent, you know, the near future and usually that's not true.

Just look at the beginning of last year, it was 2022 different than 2021, you bet it was.

And so you have to reassess everything as we enter this new year and the best sectors

of last year, good chance, aren't the best sectors this year and vice versa, right?

The worst sectors are probably also not going to be the worst sectors this year.

And asset classes where our bonds long term bonds going to fall by a third, probably not.

May have a decent year for bonds, may have a more normal year where maybe bonds up a little,

stocks down a little or vice versa, but it's probably not going to be a year where both

equities and bonds are down over 20% pretty rare.

So as we enter this new year, you have to make sure that you look at the big picture and
