Psalm chapter 13 verses one through six.

Just want to read this whole psalm so you get the whole feel of it and let it lead us to pray.

Psalm 13 verse one says,

How long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

Consider and answer me, O Lord, my God,

light up my eyes, lest I sleep the sleep of death,

lest my enemies say I have prevailed over him,

lest my foes rejoice because I am shaken.

But I have trusted in your steadfast love,

my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.

I will sing to the Lord because he has dealt bountifully with me.

We're in an awesome psalm that has been sung throughout centuries by the people of God

in the middle of suffering and the middle of injustice in the middle of confusion

and question. Did you hear verse one and two four times?

How long, O Lord, how long, how long, how long will this continue to ever feel like that?

In your life,

in circumstances you're walking through, how long, God, when's it going to stop?

Or to look around the world and see evil and injustice and just say, how long?

When is it going to stop? You get weary.

You're weary in a sin sick world. How long, O Lord, and even asking, will you forget me forever?

How long will you hide your face from me? How long will it seem like you're not there?
