Exodus chapter 36 verses 3 through 7.

I want to connect for about to read with what we prayed through in the previous

episode of Pray the Word. As we were praying through, Exodus chapter 35, we see all these

contributions coming in for the tabernacle and how God's Spirit

moved the hearts of the people to give freely. I just want you to hear today how freely they give

and for us to do part two of what we were praying through in the previous episode. So

Exodus chapter 36 verse 3 says, and they receive from Moses all the contribution that the people

of Israel had brought for doing the work on the sanctuary. They still kept bringing him free will

offerings every morning so that all the craftsmen who were doing every sort of task on the sanctuary

each from the task that he was doing and said to Moses, the people bring much more than

enough for doing the work that the Lord has commanded us to do. So Moses gave command and word

was proclaimed throughout the camp, let no man or woman do anything more for the contribution

for the sanctuary so that people were restrained from bringing for the material they had was

sufficient to do all the work and more. Don't you love this picture?

Like the people were giving too much. Are you giving too much free will offerings? Stop it.

The people had to be restrained from giving. That was the picture of generosity here in Exodus 35

and 36. And so I just want to lead us to pray for that kind of generosity among us

in your heart and my heart. When we think about giving to and through our local churches

for the spread of the gospel around the world, for the building up of the church, for the relief

of the poor, that we would give until we almost have to be restrained in our giving. God repraise

this will be so. God repraise you for what your spirit was doing in Exodus 35 and 36,
