1:01.1	And our guest this week, Iowa State Athletic Director, Jamie Pollard. Jamie, we appreciate a few minutes. Big news coming down this week regarding a report from Dennis Dodd to CBS Sports
1:06.8	talking about possible transfer rule changes, and you are quoted in this article.
1:13.1	Give us rundown of exactly what's on the table and what your hope is moving forward with this.
1:19.2	Well, Pete, let me give a little background first.
1:23.0	So the board of directors, which are the presidents of the NCA, had given a directive to a committee,
1:30.4	which is the transfer working group, that they wanted new transfer rules put in place and probably starting this fall.
1:38.6	And wanted to no longer have any situations where coaches or athletic departments restricted student athletes
1:45.9	from moving from one institution to another and really desired uniformity amongst all sports
1:51.3	rather than having different rules on transfers for different sports.
1:55.3	And that was heading in a direction that many in the industry were concerned about.
2:02.6	I think some people have labeled it the Wild West, where student athletes could just transfer
2:07.9	at any given time from one school to the next and be immediately eligible and just were
2:12.5	really concerned about the academic impact that would have on those student athletes as well as just the impact
