Genesis chapter 17, verses 1 through 3.

When Abram was 99 years old, the Lord appeared to Abram and said to him,

I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless.

That I may make my covenant between me and you, and may multiply you

greatly.

Then Abram fell on his face.

A couple of things I want to point out in these opening verses to Genesis chapter 17 and

lead us to pray according to God comes to

Abram and says, I am God Almighty. Walk before me and be blameless. Be blameless. Like that's the

command that God gives to Abram. Be blameless, above reproach. Like glorify me as God Almighty

in your life. Walk with me and faithfulness to me, in enjoyment of me. Remember, like God is

giving this command to Abram, like every single command that

comes from God for Abrams good. In the same way, God gives us commands, not for our bad. He never

commands us for our bad. He always commands us for our good, that being blameless, free from sin,

walking before God in holiness, this is good. That, verse 2, I may make my covenant between me

and you and may multiply you greatly. See the picture here. God has desire to bless Abram. And I just want you to feel that

reality in your life today because it's the same thing I could go all over Scripture and show it for all

who trust in God. For all who know him. You're in relationship with Him through faith in Jesus.

God desires to bless you. God desires to show grace

and mercy and love towards you. God desires your good. So how do you experience this good? Walk
