Contrails form at cruising altitudes, typically above 26,000 feet.

We're in the ambient air temperature.

You said contrails, right?

Contrails, yeah.

Yeah.

Reaches 40 below and 40 below Fahrenheit and 40 below centigrade are the same.

I don't know why they're different otherwise, but they meet at minus 40 for whatever damn reason.

I think something's happening up there.

And the relative humidity is high enough to allow the water vapor from the engine exhaust to freeze into ice crystals.

And that forms your condensation trail there.

A specific fixed due point, they haven't figured that out yet, but it's got to be pretty saturated for long-lasting con trail. So that just

means the air at 26, 35,000 feet or whatever, it is very humid, even though it's just super

cold up there. I'm sure our long-haul pilot will attest it because they probably keep trapped at the temperature

cruising altitude.

And I think when I see it, when I get a little telemetry, you know, in front of my seat,

it's often like 60 below when you're cruising, the temperature outside the plane.

I think that's the temperature outside today. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, you guys get some cold weather there, right? A little bit. It's like the coldest it's ever been anywhere. I've noticed you guys haven't smoked the last couple breaks either, so is it that cold, huh? You want to go outside? Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. That'd you're going to stop? If you're going to commit to something, you've got to see it through.
