I was just reading an article

this morning and finishing it up now. You know, we were in a race to see, or you and I anyhow

talking on a daily basis together, but football fans everywhere were doing the same thing.

It was an exercise the day after a rather improbable national championship win for a program like Indiana.

And that got everybody to talk, and including us yesterday, about how it was done, what's the

secret? How is it possible? What does it mean for football? Who's in the same boat as, say,

Indiana? And one of the questions that got brought up was, who's most hurt

by an Indiana national championship, meaning watching that play out, who's most hurt?

And when you read that article, which is that specific question was posed in the athletic,

you are reminded of some things that make you feel better about being an old, even in our

current condition, even though we are having a daily conversation about how we get out from

under this weight, this terrible, terrible weight of frustration and concern.

And the first thing I thought of before I read one word in that Rex Road article was, well,
