So last week we left off with the death of Edred,

the man who finally put this one England thing to bed.

We've had a procession of rather short-lived

but very successful Anglo-Saxon kings, Alfred, Edward, Athleston, Edmonds, Edred.

Things don't change immediately, but things are going to get worse. I just thought

I'd warn you about that. Edred was a sick man and he died without any children. So the Witton went back to the sons of King Edmond.
