Well, for one, Tommy Kramer was the starting quarterback, and then Wade Wilson had to take over and did a really, really good job.

That team in 1988, I mean, I've never heard anyone talk about this team being one of the greatest Vikings teams, but they were in points number four in points four and number two in points against.

That's even better than this year.

And they were seventh in yards four and number one in yards against.

So you had a number one defense just like this season.

You had a top 10 offense.

They were a top 10 passing offense.

They had kind of a grinded out running game.

And at the end of the season, especially, they did have one kind of bad loss

toward the end of the year.

But they had a stretch where their defense was astoundingly good, just like the Vikings
